The crossing of trollinger with riesling was bred in 1929 by August Herold. Now in its 90s it has become a darling of skin-contact makers (in Collio and Slovenia mainly) but also in aromatic-oily examples of picture perfect clarity by Margreid. Lots of energy and spirit, lime cordial tang and textural undulations really grab your palate’s attention.
