Move over Barolos and Brunellos! Sagrantino has arrived. Deep and dark on the nose with baked berry pie, red cut flowers, white pepper, and spice. On the palate very concentrated and pure, fine but assertive tannins. Extremely long finish, tannins kick back in. A vey complete and satisfying full-bodied wine. This is a wine that will evolve in the bottle. Stored properly, it will mature for at least ten years.

Pairings::According to Guido, try with a slow cooked leg of lamb with inserted bacon or ham and rosemary leaves. Works really well with your best steak from the BBQ.
