VIGNOBLES ROMAIN-(Cahors)FRANCE

“Vignobles Romain” was born from the passion of the Romain family for wine and terroirs.

In 1973, Aline Romain became the owner of Domaine de Montels, discovered the world of wine, and created the appellation Coteaux et Terrasses de Montauban and gave his first letters of nobilty in Montels.

By 1990, his two sons, Philippe and Thierry came to support him, and to give the domaine a more dynamic vision. In 2011, in search of new terroirs, the Romain family acquired Domaine Serre de Bovila in the AOC Cahors appellation, and in 2016, Les Mas des Anges in the appellation of Montauban.

After almost fifty years, vintages and vintages have succeeded one another and have carried the good name and know-how of the Romain family. “Vignobles Romain” was born from this alliance between three terroirs, three vineyards diametrically opposed having as their only link a family of winegrowers.

The Serre de Bovila estate, in Fargues, located on one of the best exposed sites in the Cahors appellation, combines magnificent terroir and a unique grape variety: Malbec.
This ten-hectare island then reveals the entire oenological dimension necessary to create great wines.
