“This sports a classic, generous and complex nose of classic nebbiolo red-currant cherry, red rose, truffle, aniseed, wood resin and a touch of oxidation. It is medium weight, tense, sour-edged, firm and intensely flavoured. Considerable, expected churlish tannin which is not surprising but dictates some more bottle ageing. Best 2028 to 2035.
