Sangiovese, Colorino, Merlot

This is an organically grown blend of sangiovese (80%), local colorino and a touch of merlot. It is designed to be an easier drinking softer wine and it succeeds, while still delivering good character. There is no oak ageing, leaving the bright raspberry/plummy fruit to take centre stage, along with some florality (red rose) and shrubbery. It is medium bodied, fairly smooth and well balance with quite fine tannin. The length is very good. Scores on balance.
